Visitors tap the pet to open the live chat you already use, so there is no new inbox to learn. PetMySite is a hosted service: you need a free PetMySite account, which you can create while connecting. Nothing is added to your website until an administrator connects it. #### Highlights * Five pets to choose from: Piko, Dottie, Orbi, Wisp and Halo. * Opens Tawk.to, Crisp, Intercom / Fin or Zendesk Messaging, or a link of your choice. * Connect from Settings PetMySite; there is no code to paste. * An optional `[petmysite_launcher]` shortcode adds an inline chat button to any page. * Respects reduced-motion preferences and pauses in hidden tabs. * The free plan includes every pet, chat and link actions and analytics; paid plans remove the small “by PetMySite” badge. PetMySite for WordPress is a thin connector for the PetMySite hosted service. PetMySite keeps the chat provider you already use and supplies the hosted widget runtime, pet configuration, provider adapter, entitlement, and aggregate analytics services. The plugin provides a secure PKCE connection flow, server-side connection checks, a connected-only loader for the hosted PetMySite runtime, and an optional inline launcher shortcode. No PetMySite account password, Google credential, billing credential, or account- wide API token is stored in WordPress. After connection, WordPress retains only a public site key and a revocable site-scoped connector token. The settings screen’s images, styles and fonts ship inside the plugin; it loads nothing from third-party CDNs. It bundles the Maven Pro and Manrope typefaces under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (see `assets/fonts/OFL.txt`). ### External services PetMySite is a hosted service provided at https://petmysite.com/. After a site administrator explicitly connects this plugin to PetMySite, WordPress sends the site’s home URL, WordPress site URL, plugin version, PKCE challenge, and a one-time connection exchange to PetMySite. WordPress later uses a site-scoped token for status, verification, and disconnect requests. Connected public pages load the PetMySite widget runtime from PetMySite servers. The runtime retrieves public configuration for the connected hostname and may send privacy-friendly aggregate events such as widget impressions, pet interactions, and chat-open events. PetMySite does not intentionally collect WordPress usernames, visitor identities, chat content, typed messages, or full page URLs as part of its widget analytics. In WordPress, go to Plugins Add New Plugin, search for “PetMySite”, then install and activate it. 2. Open Settings PetMySite and select Connect PetMySite. 3. Sign in to PetMySite or create a free account, choose or create the site for this address, and return to WordPress. 4. Open your website once so your pet can check in. ## FAQ ### Does PetMySite replace my live-chat provider? No. PetMySite is designed to open the supported chat service already installed on the website. ### Does this version add anything to the public website? Nothing is added until an administrator completes the PetMySite connection. When connected and enabled, WordPress loads only the hosted `pet.js` runtime and the public site key. The secret connector token remains server-side. ### How do I add an inline launcher? Add `[petmysite_launcher]` or `[petmysite_launcher label="Chat with us"]` in any editor or builder that renders WordPress shortcodes. ### Will the plugin ask me for a review? Rarely, and only on the PetMySite settings screen. Two weeks after you connect, if your pet is live, the screen may ask for an honest review on WordPress.org. You can choose “Maybe later”, “I already did” or “Don’t ask again”; nothing is ever unlocked or withheld based on your answer. ### How do I report a security issue? Please email hello@petmysite.com with “Security” in the subject line and do not post details in the public support forum. We will confirm receipt and keep you updated while we investigate. ### Where can I get help?
