Every client gets their own password-protected page with their proofs. They zoom in to check the details, then press **Approve** or write exactly what to change. You get an email, and every request is saved with the proof it belongs to. No accounts for your clients, no third-party portal, and no per-client fees. It all runs on your own site. #### Built for designers who send a lot of proofs * **Unlimited clients and proofs.** Create a client page in one step: type a name and ProofCanvas makes the page and a password, ready to share. * **Share card.** Copy the private link and password, or a ready-to-send invite message. * **Approve or request changes** on every proof. In WordPress go to **Plugins Add New**, search for **ProofCanvas**, then click** Install Now** and **Activate**. 2. Open **ProofCanvas** in the admin menu. 3. On the **Clients** tab click **New Client**, type the client’s name and click ** Create Client Page**. 4. On the **Proofs** tab click **Add Proof**, choose the client, add your image and save. 5. Send the client their link and password from the share card. ## FAQ ### Do my clients need a WordPress account? No. Each client opens their private link and, if you require it, enters the password you gave them. ### Are there limits on clients or proofs? No. The free version has no limits on clients, proofs or revisions. ### Which image formats work? Anything your WordPress media library accepts, such as JPG, PNG and WebP. Export PDFs as images first. ### My client sees an old version of the page Exclude the client page from your caching plugin or host cache. ProofCanvas already sends “do not cache” headers on that page, but some host caches ignore them. ### The access log shows the same IP for everyone Your site is behind a proxy such as Cloudflare. Use the `proofcanvas_client_ip` filter to return the visitor’s real IP. ### What happens when I delete the plugin? Nothing is removed unless you turn on **Settings Remove all ProofCanvas data when the plugin is deleted**. With it on, clients, proofs and requests are deleted, and any protected files are moved back into the normal media library. ### What’s the difference between the free version and Pro? The free version is the complete proofing workflow for image proofs. Pro adds 3D models, Box from Dieline, branding and private file storage. Settings > Watermark: your text or logo, repeated across the design or once in a corner, with size and opacity. Stamped on the server into every image your clients see (proof images, thumbnails, 3D boxes and labels); your original files are never changed and you always see them clean. Any panel can be Angled / curved: drag its corners anywhere and bend any edge; panels can have up to 16 corners( like a face with a V-shaped top and a pointed chin). Walls between flared walls lean in to meet them, and a strip on a curved edge (the band over an arched top) bends along it in 3D. * Fixed (Pro): “Clear all” on a Custom box now stays cleared after saving. * Improved (Pro): “BETA” tag on the Cylinder / Tube proof type. #### 1.6.9 * New (Pro): Tapered (cup / cone) labels – a fan-shaped wrap label is found automatically and wrapped onto a cone in 3D, sized from its own shape. Drag its four corners at any angle and its two bend points to fine-tune, or switch any label between Straight and Tapered. * New (Pro): full cones (ice cream cone labels that come to a point), and sheets with several cones: each becomes its own cone, and each round lid goes on the cone printed next to it. * New (Pro): counter display boxes – a floor with sloped side walls, a back wall with header and a front lip are detected and stand on their floor in 3D, printed side facing the customer. “The base is the floor” option for Custom boxes. * New (Pro): a sheet with a box and its cones / cups builds both: the cones and lids are added with the box, and stand inside a display box. They now detect as a label set with every side. * Improved (Pro): Custom boxes – panel edges snap onto their neighbours when you draw or move them, panels a little apart (up to about 2% of the sheet) still join, the base is the best-connected panel until you pick one, and a panel printed apart that is the size of the box opening (like a label set’s top label) goes on top automatically. * Fixed (Pro): Custom box panels printed with a gap (bleed band) between them folded with that gap, leaving notches or a wall sticking out at the corners. Joined panels now fold from exactly the fold line. * Improved (Pro): panels that are not joined are flagged in red on the dieline, and the 3D preview says so instead of showing a row of flat pieces. * Fixed (Pro): clicking a drawing tool while the full-size dieline is still loading did nothing. The tool now starts as soon as the dieline is ready. #### 1.6.6 * New (Pro): Clear all in Box Setup wipes everything drawn on the dieline (fold lines, lids, labels, windows, pieces) so you can draw your own panels; Auto-detect starts over from a cleared box. * Fixed (Pro): dragging a fold line or wall edge no longer moves or resizes the top and bottom lids. Lids stay where they are until you move them (choosing another panel in the lid menu still places them fresh). #### 1.6.5 * Fixed (Pro): the pen tool closed the shape when a point was placed near the first one. When every wall has its own top flap (heart-lock and similar gift boxes), the 3D box folds all four flaps in and stands the top shapes up, with the paper around them cut away.
